The Mount Sinai premed volunteer program offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting. Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West provide volunteer roles in patient support, ambulatory care, administrative services, and the Patient Rounding Program. This experience can help premed students develop a better understanding of patient care and healthcare environments.
Volunteers may work in administrative support, patient care assistance, ambulatory care, or the Patient Rounding Program. The Patient Rounding Program involves welcoming new patients within 24 hours of admission and conducting patient-satisfaction surveys.
This opportunity can be valuable for students preparing for medical school and looking to gain meaningful healthcare experience.
