The Lenox Hill Hospital Volunteer Program is an established volunteer program serving patients and hospital departments on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Volunteers may be placed in a variety of patient-facing and administrative support roles depending on program needs and availability.

What You’ll Do
Volunteer responsibilities depend on your placement and may include:

Volunteer Requirements
Requirements vary depending on the volunteer program and age group.
Adult Volunteers (18+)
Adult volunteers must:
- Commit to a minimum of 100 hours annually
- Complete one 4-hour shift per week
- Participate in an interview
- Complete volunteer orientation
- Obtain required medical clearance
- Complete a background check
Junior Volunteers (15–17)
The junior volunteer program is offered during the summer and requires:
- A minimum commitment of 100 hours
- Completion of the hours over approximately 4 weeks
- Volunteering 4 days per week
