Maria is one of our dedicated tutors for ACT, Biology, and Chemistry for the MCAT. She grew up in NYC and attended Hunter College High School, where she scored in the 99th percentile on her ACT.

She went on to earn her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University, where she was a Teaching Assistant for Biochemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Biology Lab, and Nutrition. Maria also served as a Peer Research Mentor and Student Advisor in the College of Human Ecology, supporting students academically and personally.

During her time at Cornell, she conducted wet lab research, systematic reviews, and completed an honors thesis in nutrition. Since graduating, Maria has been working as a Clinical Research Coordinator while preparing for medical school.

Maria is passionate about helping students build confidence in their science courses and standardized tests, and she brings warmth, patience, and clarity to every session.
