The Geliebter Lab, Mount Sinai Position Description
The Geliebter Lab is looking for students in the NYC area willing to commit 10-15 hybrid hours per week to support an ongoing NIH-funded research study investigating the effects of supermarket discounts on fruits, vegetables, and non-caloric beverages on shopping, food intake, body weight, and health status.
Responsibilities Include:
Performing data entry of dietary and clinical data collected throughout the study
Analyzing the data
Observing and helping to analyze neuroimaging data from an fMRI study of genetic components of obesity
Position Requirements
Prior clinical and research experience are a plus but not required, as training and support throughout the project will be provided and supervisors/mentors are available
Data analysis experience is a plus
Time Commitment
Part-time, with a two-semester commitment. 10-15 hours per week, mostly weekday daytime hours and perhaps some evening time (for dietary recalls and recruitment). Exceptions are made during midterms and finals.
