Medical Assistant, Paid, Part-time, Dermatology NYC

This Position will expire on Sep 30, 2021 Organization Lumos Dermatology Position Description Lumos Dermatology is seeking a part-time medical assistant who can commit to at least one year. Responsibilities include:

• • Interviewing patients concerning their visit

• • Following up on lab tests and prescriptions

• • Setting up biopsies

• • Assisting in minor skin surgeries and laser procedures

• • Answering and triaging phone calls

• • Scheduling appointments

• • Checking in patients

• • Verifying insurance

Time Commitment 20 hours per week on Mondays and Saturdays, some Fridays, with a 1-year commitment Compensation The initial training period is volunteer/course credit up to 80 hours and thereafter is course credit and paid $15 an hour.
