Full-time, Paid, Clinical Research Associate and Lab Technician, Cardiology

Start Date: May (training), June (position) Organization Columbia University Division of Cardiology, Exercise Physiology Laboratory Position Description The Exercise Physiology Laboratory of Columbia University is seeking a clinical research associate and lab technician in the Division of Cardiology. The position includes opportunities to contribute to clinical research papers for publication in medical journals. Responsibilities include:

• • Conducting details patient interviews

• • Setting up and interpreting EKGs

• • Taking patients’ blood pressure

• • Working as a team with cardiology attendees

• • Running stress tests on patients diagnosed with heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, or other cardiovascular disorders

• • Clinical research responsibilities for FDA-approved clinical trials

Position Requirements

• • BLS-certified by start date (ACLS a plus)

• • Assertive and detail-oriented

• • Good computer and writing skills

• • A mechanical and technical mindset

• • Working knowledge of Excel a plus
