Heidi Brody

Director of Student Support

I am a student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem. As a wife and mother of four grown children, and a proud member of the chasidic community in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, I bring with me a background that is both nontraditional and deeply rooted in family and community values. Balancing the demands of family life with the rigors of medical training has been challenging, rewarding, and ultimately transformative, shaping both my perspective and my approach to mentorship.
Prior to medical school, I studied at Touro NYSCAS, where I worked as a peer tutor in organic chemistry, general chemistry, and biochemistry. As an older, nontraditional student, my role naturally extended beyond academics. I often served as a mentor and source of support for fellow students navigating coursework, self-doubt, and life responsibilities alongside their studies.
I joined the MCAT King family because I know firsthand that there are aspiring physicians whose paths do not fit the traditional mold. I am passionate about supporting students who are balancing school with family responsibilities, those coming from communities where higher education, particularly medical education, is not always emphasized, and anyone seeking guidance from a mature, real-world perspective on the premed and medical school journey.
I look forward to working with you and getting to know you as you navigate the MCAT and the pre-medical process. Please reach out and book a session. I would love to hear your story and answer your questions. I am excited to support you every step of the way.
