Clinical Research Coordinator (Gap Year Opportunity)
Position Description
The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program at CHOP and Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join the team. This is a unique two-year, full-time opportunity ideal for recent graduates pursuing a career in medicine.
The CRC will serve as the central point of contact for research activities across CHOP and Penn, working directly with the program’s medical director and supporting multidisciplinary clinical research. This role offers extensive patient interaction, independent research opportunities, and exposure to academic medicine in both pediatric and adult care environments.
Responsibilities Include
- Coordinating research activities across the Adult Congenital Heart Center
- Conducting mentored independent research and supporting ongoing studies
- Acting as liaison between patients, physicians, and research teams
- Gaining firsthand exposure to clinical workflows in academic and hospital-based settings
- Developing research competencies and contributing to publications and presentations
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree by Summer 2026
- Strong interest in medicine and clinical research
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical research setting
- Two-year commitment strongly preferred
Time Commitment
Full-time, two-year position (starting Summer 2026)
