About the Position
StarPro Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to assist physical therapists with the day-to-day tasks involved in patient rehabilitation.
StarPro is part of Sports Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Services of The North Shore, PLLC, which operates multiple physical therapy clinics across Manhattan.
This opportunity is ideal for students interested in physical therapy, rehabilitation medicine, or healthcare who want to gain exposure to a clinical environment.
Responsibilities
The Physical Therapy Aide will assist the physical therapist with tasks related to patient care and clinic operations, including:
- Assisting with day-to-day rehabilitation activities.
- Interacting with patients as they work through their rehabilitation programs.
- Folding and organizing laundry.
- Cleaning treatment tables and other surfaces.
- Preparing hot packs and ice packs.
- Helping maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- An interest in physical therapy or rehabilitation medicine is preferred but not required.
- An interest in pursuing physical therapy school is a plus.
- No prior clinical experience is required.
