About the Fellowship
Project Horseshoe Farm’s Community Health Fellowship is a grant-supported program established in 2009 for recent college graduates seeking structured, hands-on community health experience before applying to medical school or other professional programs.
The 2027–2028 cohort runs from June 21, 2027, through July 2, 2028. This well-regarded gap-year opportunity is recommended by pre-health offices at Brown University, Columbia University, Penn State, the University of Washington, and other institutions.
The fellowship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in community health while developing valuable skills for future careers in medicine and other healthcare-related fields.
