The New York-Presbyterian Volunteer Program offers a variety of patient-facing and support opportunities across its hospital locations, including Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Available Volunteer Opportunities
Depending on current openings and eligibility requirements, volunteer roles may include:
- Patient Care Units: Provide companionship and support to patients.
- Emergency Department: Assist with approved patient and visitor support activities.
- Pediatric Emergency Department: Support children and families through approved volunteer activities.
- Infusion Center: Welcome and assist patients receiving chemotherapy.
- NYP Guide: Help patients and visitors navigate hospital facilities.
- Palliative Care: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Perioperative Services: Assist with designated support activities.
- Rehabilitation Services: Support approved physical therapy and occupational therapy activities.
- Spiritual Care: Assist with designated patient support services.
- Patient Experience: Participate in approved bedside surveys and feedback initiatives.
Pharmacy assistance may also be available to students enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Eligibility Requirements
- Most volunteer roles require applicants to be at least 18 years old.
