Organization Lumos Dermatology

Position Description Lumos Dermatology is seeking a part-time medical assistant who can commit to at least one year.

Responsibilities include:

• Interviewing patients concerning their visit

• Following up on lab tests and prescriptions

• Setting up biopsies

• Assisting in minor skin surgeries and laser procedures

• Answering and triaging phone calls

• Scheduling appointments

• Checking in patients

• Verifying insurance

Time Commitment 20 hours per week on Mondays and Saturdays, some Fridays, with a 1-year commitment

Compensation The initial training period is volunteer/course credit up to 80 hours and thereafter is course credit and paid $15 an hour.
