Position Description

nThe Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at NYU Langone Health is looking for a part-time or full-time research technician. This position would be responsible for performing laboratory experiments under the direct supervision and is ideal for premedical students looking to take one or two years off before starting medical school or graduate school.

Responsibilities include:

n
• Performing routine technical tasks and assisting in the general maintenance of the lab 

n

• Using general techniques in standard molecular biology techniques like DNA and RNA isolation, regular PCR, realtime  PCR, western blotting, ELISA

n

• Performing lipid assays, tissue sectioning, immunofluorescent staining, and imaging

n

Position Requirements

• Must have a bachelors degree 

n

Time Commitment

n

Part-time or full-time, starting in August with some flexibility.
